Superior Cleaning Results
Duraclean’s unique patented foam absorption cleaning process is an exclusive service that will thoroughly clean your carpets and help to maintain their manufacturer’s warranty. Unlike other systems which can wet out and drive the soil deeper into the carpet Duraclean’s system injects air into the solution. It surrounds the soil particulates in the carpet making the removal of the soil more effective. The carpet will also dry more quickly than other “hot water extraction” systems. The Duraclean Eight Step Process
Another item that separates Duraclean from the competition is its thorough eight step process. This includes:
Pre-cleaning spots such as gum, grease, and similar type spots.
Raking the carpet with a special conditioning tool to open up the carpet pile and maximize the subsequent vacuuming step to remove sand, grit, and other abrasive type damaging soils.
Vacuuming the carpet with high efficiency equipment to remove the most dry soil possible. Up to 2/3 of the soil in the carpet can be removed with this step to vastly improve overall cleaning results.
Most furniture out of the area to be cleaned to eliminate furniture damage and to allow for easy access to those dusty, soiled carpet fibers usually found under furniture, especially chairs and sofas.
Cleaning with Duraclean’s foam absorption process to maximize soil removal. This includes special attention to stairs, traffic lanes, hallways and entryways.
Additional cleaning of any remaining spots not removed by the cleaning process or had been masked by soil.
Placing furniture back into its original position placing foam blocks or furniture tabs under furniture legs to prevent any stain or rust transfer to the moist carpet.
Loft and groom the carpet with the carpet conditioning tool to set up the pile to shorten drying time and help your carpet to regain its new look.
Duraclean is the Expert in Low Moisture Upholstery Cleaning
Duraclean has been a specialist in low moisture upholstery cleaning since 1930. Using low moisture has a variety of benefits:
Prevents spreading the area of existing soil.
Keeps the soil at the top of the fabric making soil and stain removal more complete.
Eliminates over wetting which can cause color run and yellowing of the fabric.
Accelerates the drying process so the furniture can be used more quickly.
Dealing with Sensitive Fabrics
Traditionally hard-to-clean upholstery fabrics such as velvets and Haitian cottons are no problem with our system. Duraclean can also apply the proper soil and stain repellent for the fabric at hand. Duraclean is recommended by custom furniture makers to their customers for the care of their furniture and by national furniture chains as well.
Upholstery Cleaning Process
Due to the nature of sensitive fabrics special attention is paid to upholstered furniture even before the cleaning process begins:
Pre-existing damage such as wear, rips and tears, weakened fabric, water spotting and color change or fading are documented and communicated to the customer in a condition report. Spot and stains are also noted.
Pre-cleaning of spots such as gum, grease and similar type spots are made.
The upholstered surfaces are vacuumed to remove loose soil, lint, and hair to maximize the subsequent cleaning steps.
Areas with excessive soiling are pre-treated with a special conditioner.
Low moisture cleaning follows. This includes the application of a special cleaning solution chosen for the particular fabric at hand in addition to vacuuming out the solution that now contains the emulsified soil.
Any remaining spots or stains are specially treated to complete further removal.
A soil and stain repellent compatible with the fabric may be applied.
Fabrics such as velvets are groomed with a velvet brush to reorient the pile for visual uniformity and to accelerate the drying process.
