Carpet Cleaning Service

Why should I get my carpet cleaned?
Aside from the obvious reasons such as looks and making the carpet last longer, there is one reason people always seem to overlook. Carpet is like a giant air filter for your home. It traps dust and dirt and keeps it out of the air that you breathe. This filter does need to be cleaned from time to time. Once it is full of soil it stops improving your air quality and starts hurting it.

How often should I get my carpets cleaned?
Your carpet should be professionally cleaned at least every 12 to 18 months. This will vary due to the usage your carpet gets. Factors include number of people, pets, the outdoor environment surrounding your home and how well you maintain your carpet. In order to keep your warranty, carpet manufactures recommend getting your carpets professionally cleaned every 12 to 18 months.

How long does the carpet cleaning process take?
We are able to clean approximately 400 square feet per hour. This can vary slightly depending upon the amount of soil, how much furniture needs to be moved, specialty spotting procedures, and setup time.

I have been told that my carpet will get dirty much faster after cleaning, is this true?
If your professional carpet cleaner does their job correctly, this is not true. You cannot clean a carpet too often, in fact not getting your carpet cleaned is much worse. Periodic cleaning will extend the life of your carpet, while helping to keep your home healthier.

What should I do to properly take care of my carpet?
There are three steps you need to do.
  • Regular vacuuming of carpet.
This is the most important thing you can do for your carpet. Vacuuming removes the dry particle soil from your carpet that is tracked in by you, your children and your pets. If dry soil is left in your carpet the grit constantly wears your carpet fibers like sandpaper. This eventually removes your stain resistant coating on the fibers, then permanently wears the fibers itself, dulling the carpets color. This results in damage beyond repair, which ruins the beauty of your carpet.
  • Prompt clean up of spills.
The quicker you clean up spills on your carpet the easier they are to remove. Use clean white absorbent materials. Always blot up spills, do not aggressively rub or brush carpet.
  • Periodic professional cleaning.
Professional carpet cleaning is required to remove the deep down soil in your carpet that vacuuming does not reach. It also removes the oily soil from your carpet. Also, hot water extraction will refresh the texture of your carpet by resetting the twist of the carpet fibers. Periodic cleaning by a professional will also keep your carpet warranty valid.

How long will it take my carpet to dry after it is cleaned?
Your carpet should be dried and returned to normal use within 24 hours of cleaning it under normal conditions. Longer drying time of your carpet could result in a variety of after-cleaning problems such as: rapid re-soiling, or odor and microorganism development.

Do you guarantee to remove all spots and stains?
We have great success with most spots. A spot is something foreign on carpert or upholstery that can be removed. A stain is something that cannot be removed. This is determined after exhausting all spot removal possibilities. One way to help is regular cleaning of the carpet and having Durashield applied after cleaning. But, there is no guarantee.

Does Durashield really work?
The factory stain resistant on your carpet will gradually wear away due to normal foot traffic and soil. By having Durashield re-applied after cleaning, it will help you with the clean up of spills and also reduce the wear of your carpet fibers - helping to extend the life of your carpet.

Do you move furniture when cleaning my carpet?
Yes, this is considered part of the normal cleaning job. Heavy dressers, waterbeds, loaded china cabinets, big TV's and delicate or fragile furnishings are exceptions. All furniture that is moved will be returned to its original position. Foam blocks or foil leg protectors will be placed under furniture to protect it from the damp carpet. It is appreciated if you remove the small items and breakables from the cleaning area.

Can you fix indentations from heavy furniture?
No guarantee can be made on removing indentations from heavy furniture. In addition to the pile of the carpet being crushed, the backing of the carpet is indented. Heat, moisture, and hand grooming with our equipment may help, but it will take time to release back to normal, if at all. Severe cases may be permanent.

How soon can I walk on the carpet?
Try to keep pets, children, and heavy traffic off the carpet as much as possible during the drying process. Wait 24 hours before removing foam blocks or protective tabs that our technicians have placed under the furniture to protect the carpet. Please use extreme caution when walking on the wet carpet and then going to hard surface areas as it may be slippery.

FAQ's
Tile & Grout Cleaning Service

Why should I have my tile and grout cleaned?
Just like carpet, dirt builds up over time dulling your tile's appearance and discoloring your grout. A thorough, professional tile and grout cleaning is the only way to remove the deep-down dirt.

How often should I have my tile and grout cleaned?
As with carpet, many factors must be considered when determining the frequency of cleaning. Foot traffic, children, pets and routine floor maintenance will affect how often you have to have your tile and grout cleaned. Having a sealant applied to the grout lines following a professional cleaning will help extend the time between cleanings. But as a general rule we recommend every 18-24 months.

How long will it take to have my tile and grout cleaned?
For an average size room, up to 300 square feet, it typically takes 60 - 90 minutes to clean the tile and grout. This can vary based on a number of factors including the size of the tile, amount of soil in the grout lines, and room configuration. If you choose to have sealant added, it typically takes 2 - 3 hours to complete the entire process.

How soon can I walk on the floor after cleaning?
With our state of the art truck-mounted tile and grout cleaning system, we actually remove the moisture as we go, so you can walk on the floor immediately following the cleaning. The grout may appear darker in color in some areas, but grout can take up to 24 hours to dry completely.

Why should I have my grout lines sealed?
Grout is a porous material that absorbs soil and spills, just like carpet. Having a sealant applied will help create a protective barrier, giving you more time to clean up dry and liquid dirt before it soaks into the grout. The type of sealant you choose will determine the degree of stain resistance.

How long do I have to stay off the floor after sealant has been applied?
We recommend that you wait 30 minutes before walking on the floor to allow the sealant to dry. It will take 24 hours for the sealant to cure completely, so we suggest that you avoid any liquid coming in contact with the sealant during that time.

Do I have to use a special floor cleaner if I have the sealant applied?
To preserve the life of the sealant, we recommend that you use a neutral cleaner on your floor. Rinsing after mopping will also help keep your floors looking their best. You will want to avoid bleach and other harsh chemical cleaners as these can wear away at the sealant and cause it to break down prematurely.
